Interim Operations Controller

In order to adequately guide this transformation and our growth strategy, we are looking for an Operations Controller a.i. who will report directly into the Group Operations & Supply Chain Controller and will also act as a Business Partner for different Operations Domain leads (who are part of the senior leadership team Operations & Supply Chain).


Group Finance

Group Finance consists of Group Business Control, Accounting & Reporting, Tax and Treasury reporting to the Group Finance Director.


Responsibilities

In this role you will be the Business Partner of the Operations domain Procurement and responsible for all control activities within this domain (approximately 50% of time). The other 50% of your time you will support in controlling activities / control optimization projects in other Operations domains (e.g. Logistics & Order Fulfilment, Production, SI&OP, Quality and Safety).


Procurement:

  • Coordinate the planning & control cycle for the global procurement domain, including target setting, reporting, liaising with the countries and designing tools and reports to facilitate the process.
  • Provide finance business partnership to the Global Procurement organization and support the team in realizing financial objectives.
  • Support in reviewing and updating of the procurement strategy and performance.
  • Proactively analyze trends within procurement.
  • Participate in the rollout of procurement improvement projects.
  • Pro-actively challenge the procurement performance and initiate improvements/close the gap negotiations


Other Operations domains:

  • Support in reviewing of operations business performance through reliable reports and analyse, and advise on performance improvements.
  • Challenge the Operations Domain leads and pro-actively provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial and operational performance.
  • Responsible for driving performance management by co-developing, standardizing, automating and measuring financial and non-financial KPI's for Operations.
  • Support the budget, forecast and strategic processes along with the preparations of investment proposals.
  • Support the business in cost awareness and cost control throughout the organization.
  • Initiate or support efficiency programs and you will continuously support to improve the management reporting process, systems and formats.

Requirements

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a Finance related study.
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant professional experience in Business Controlling / Operations Controlling and / or Procurement Controlling within a dynamic international business environment.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing and preferably in one other European language like Dutch, German or French.
  • Financial Business Partner attitude with natural ability to challenge and support business leadership teams with diverse backgrounds.
  • Drive for results, pro-active attitude with "can-do" mentality.
  • High level of conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communications, influencing skills and stakeholder management can express her/his ideas with ease and flair.
  • Able to cope with deadlines and time schedules.
  • Self-starter: Ability to work on own initiative, proactively drive change, take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion.
  • Comfortable with reporting and analysis tools like Power BI.
