Job description

As an IT Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end source-to-contract process of purchasing any IT or digital solutions. You will be a member of the IT Procurement & Vendor Management department. Together with the team, you will pursue an optimal relationship with Business Partners and other IT stakeholders, ensuring support and clear communication for the benefit of ERIKS and ERIKS Digital.


You’ll be working across technology, defining, and agreeing a supplier governance framework and an agreed relationship map between ERIKS Digital, Legal, Internal Audit, and our supplier organizations.


The IT Procurement Manager reports to the Head of IT Procurement & Vendor Management.

ERIKS Digital is responsible for delivering new innovative digital solutions as well as for creating and efficient way of procuring technological solutions across the organization of ERIKS.


Key responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement including the negotiations in order to agree upon the best market price.
  • Engage in professional development, ensure up-to-date market knowledge and benchmarking by making company visits, conferences and attending courses, to maintain continual growth in professional skills and knowledge essential to the position.
  • Advice on the IT strategy and ensure alignment with the sourcing strategy and provide expertise on recent market trends and analysis.
  • Work closely with IT stakeholders and business owners to identify requirements, plan, execute and optimize the technology life cycle in support of the organization’s overall strategic objectives.
  • Assessment of the digital demand, identification of potential suppliers, and assessment of suppliers commercial viability.
  • Set up, implement and maintain an operational, tactical and strategic relationship and Governance Model with suppliers.
  • Maintain a domain Sourcing strategy and Strategic Procurement Roadmap that support ERIKS strategy, business objectives and supporting operations.
  • Facilitate stakeholders on make or buy decisions based on T.C.O. (Total Cost of Ownership) in alignment with the (sourcing) strategy.
  • With knowledge and understanding of the specific business and strategy of ERIKS and ERIKS Digital, translate this into priorities and consequences for the Strategy (Sourcing and Procurement).
  • Assist IT subject matter experts with IT vendor segmentation and selection criteria, procedures following best practice tools.
  • Combine a long-term vision with the ability to distinguish primary and secondary issues.
  • Embed the process within the organization in accordance with regulations and practical common-sense.

Job requirements

As a IT Procurement Manager we believe the right candidate meets the following criteria:

  • Previous experience of 5 years+ in IT procurement and sourcing with the best practice methods and techniques and frameworks;
  • Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult contract negotiations, tight deadlines and overall expectations;
  • Good interlocutor, skilled negotiator and relationship manager with a high level of organizational sensitivity;
  • Strong business and financial acumen - including proven experience in structuring deals, drafting legal agreements, risk mitigation and skilled negotiations;
  • Up to date market knowledge and knowing what the market trends are and what and how ERIKS can use it to their advantage;
  • Ability to guide proposals in a structured and beneficial way in order to help management in decision making;
  • Spirited team player with the ability to work as a positive role model and catalyst for change;
  • Very good communication skills (including English speaking and writing).
